CCTV and the Protective Gaze of the House

A protected house sleeps more easily. In present-day remedial Vastu, CCTV placement is treated as part of the modern protective layer of the home or workplace. This is not a classical temple-era topic, yet current consultant practice often recommends placing security cameras so they monitor entrances, exits, and vulnerable points, with north, east, or north-east frequently preferred for active visibility and oversight. The deeper principle is not superstition but conscious watchfulness: the home should be seen where it is exposed, and calm where it is private.

Perfect Vastu matters here because security is also psychological. A well-positioned camera can reduce anxiety, improve order, and strengthen the household’s sense of preparedness. However, Vastu would not want surveillance to dominate sacred or restful spaces. Cameras should not intrude upon the puja room, should not stare aggressively into the bed area, and should not be installed so awkwardly that they create blind spots while pretending to offer protection.

The happiest use of CCTV in Vastu is therefore measured and intelligent. Let it guard the threshold, the outer movement zones, the shopfront, the gate, the parking edge, or the vulnerable corridor. Let it not turn the house into a place of suspicion. Perfect Vastu protects without frightening.
